Early Single Tulip White Prince
T1324
Description
Noble, upstanding, valiant – ‘White Prince’ brings a dignified refinement to your garden. Impeccable, marble white blooms are a picture of composure, creating a feeling of serenity amongst borders and container displays. Classical, goblet shaped tulips stand proudly on strong, upright stems, resilient against unpredictable weather. An exceptional addition to a white planting scheme, ‘White Prince’ adds a touch of sophistication in early spring. The sizeable blooms also make excellent cut flowers, bringing elegance to bouquets and floral arrangements.
Care Guide
November is the optimum month for planting Tulip bulbs. The cooler late-autumn temperatures help to keep disease at bay, whilst still allowing time for your bulbs to put roots down before spring. Any well-drained, fertile soil is perfect for Tulips, ideally in full sun or part shade. Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep, spaced 10-20cm apart. A piece of chicken wire or mesh can be placed on top of the soil or pots after planting if squirrels or rodents are a problem in your area. After flowering in March to May, remove withered stems, foliage and any fallen petals to promote good plant health and apply a top dressing of high-potash fertiliser in late winter.
