Jonquilla Narcissi More and More
N0478
Description
This aptly named little live-wire just keeps on giving: Jonquilla Narcissus ‘More and More’ produces masses of button-like blooms, flowering for longer than any other. Highly productive despite its petite stature, multiple heads are borne on each stem for an impressive, floriferous show. This hard-working, fantastically fragrant narcissus is especially suited to animating rockeries, dotting along pathways, edging borders, and brightening pots. Continuing to flower after most other daffodils have petered out, ‘More and More’ then seamlessly passes the baton on to the tulips as the season continues. Its slender, chive-like foliage fades subtly, ready to reappear the following year.
Care Guide
Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter. A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring. Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass. Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth. Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
