Dwarf Cyclamineus Sugar Dipped
N0417
Description
Narcissus ‘Sugar Dipped’ will sweeten your spring display with its delectable blooms – although this daffodil is not to be eaten, it is certainly a feast for the eyes. Voluminous, rounded petals are the colour of pure, white peppermint creams surrounding an intricately ruffled cup of lemon bonbon yellow. The crown is finely flecked with speckles of white at the tip as though it has been crystallised, giving ‘Sugar Dipped’ its memorable name. This unusually showy Dwarf Cyclamineus variety makes a gorgeous, unique addition to containers and is equally at home in a mixed border or amongst the grass.
Care Guide
Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter. A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring. Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass. Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth. Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
