Jonquilla Narcissi Two Tone Mix
N0492
Description
Jonquilla ‘Two Tone Mix’ combines the cool, sparkling white of ‘Sailboat’ and the warm sunshine glow of ‘Yellow Sailboat’. Like scintillating light as it dances on the surface of rippled water, the two colours bounce off each other and glint in the sun’s rays. Planted in a harmonious pairing, the seafaring siblings bloom perfectly in tandem. Petals are swept backwards like sails billowing in the breeze, surrounding a funnel-shaped crown. With the distinguished ‘Sailboat’ flaunting an RHS Award of Garden Merit, this delightfully scented duo will flourish in containers and will naturalise happily amongst borders and lawns.
Care Guide
Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter. A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring. Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass. Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth. Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
