Mid Season Tulip Doberman
T1417
Description
The Mid-season Tulip Doberman commands attention with deep maroon-purple flowers edged with creamy yellow. This sophisticated colour pairing exudes an air of mystery and elegance. Rich, velvety petals contrast beautifully with soft yellow edges, creating a mesmerising visual effect. These tulips are perfect for adding depth and intrigue to garden displays, dark, luxurious blooms offering a striking counterpoint to lighter spring flowers.
Care Guide
November is the optimum month for planting Tulip bulbs. The cooler late-autumn temperatures help to keep disease at bay, whilst still allowing time for your bulbs to put roots down before spring. Any well-drained, fertile soil is perfect for Tulips, ideally in full sun or part shade. Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep, spaced 10-20cm apart. A piece of chicken wire or mesh can be placed on top of the soil or pots after planting if squirrels or rodents are a problem in your area. After flowering in March to May, remove withered stems, foliage and any fallen petals to promote good plant health and apply a top dressing of high-potash fertiliser in late winter.
