Canna Lilies in Pots – the Best Gardening Decision I Made
There’s something quietly magical about Canna Lilies. The way these plants lift the mood, the way they seem to glow even when the weather’s grey. And how, with barely any effort, a plain patio or balcony becomes somewhere you want to sit with your morning cup of tea. Last Spring, I planted some in terracotta pots just outside our kitchen. I may not be the world’s best gardener, but by July, this was easily one of the best decisions I made all year.
Special Offer: 4 of our TOP-SIZED Canna rhizomes, normal RRP £36.35 (inc. p&p), available to you for £14.50 with FREE delivery. 60% Discount.
Tall, tropical blooms in gorgeous reds, pinks, tangerine and gold. Wide, lush leaves bringing everything nearby to life. However, be prepared, because every time someone drops by, interest and questions regards these captivating flowers will be inevitable.
You receive:
Canna Pink Futurity
‘Pink Futurity’ has soft rose blooms which feel refined without being fussy. The dark bronze foliage gives a dramatic edge, perfect for adding contrast to lighter plantings. More compact than other Cannas, but no less impactful. Looks stunning in front of a warm wall.
Canna Happy Emily
‘Happy Emily’ feels so tropical, with creamy yellow petals flushed in peach. The leaves are rich, wide, and bright green, making this a cheerful presence even before the flowers open. Plant this nearby so you can admire it daily.
Canna Happy Carmen
‘Happy Carmen’ carries deep red blooms which stand confidently against its sturdy stems. The foliage is a lighter green, which lifts the whole plant visually. ‘Carmen’ has presence, like a centrepiece in a summer garden. You can pair beautifully with ornamental grasses or set alone in a tall container.
Canna Happy Julia
The flowers on ‘Happy Julia’ glow in rich coral-orange, each petal catching light like stained glass. The foliage is a deep, velvety green, providing contrast which makes the blooms feel even bolder. This is the kind of plant which instantly draws attention in a pot or near a sunny border.
These specially bred varieties thrive in pots and are easy to grow. No risk of taking over. No need for constant care. Just quietly doing what nature intended, whilst making you as a gardener feel pride.
