Tazetta Narcissi Silver Chimes
N0516
Description
The elegant Narcissus ‘Silver Chimes’ rings delicate, bell-like blooms to welcome the warmth of mid-spring as the rest of the garden begins to wake. This superb variety carries up to 7 exquisitely formed, nodding flowers on each stem. Glistening white petals surround a creamy lemon cup, imparting an irresistibly sweet floral scent. Fine, dark olive-green leaves blend subtly with grass and neighbouring foliage, making ‘Silver Chimes’ an excellent choice for naturalising amongst lawns and borders. The charm and wondrous scent of the blooms is equally enchanting when admired up close in container displays.
Care Guide
Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter. A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring. Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass. Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth. Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
