Species Narcissi Obvallaris
N0585
Description
Species obvallaris, known as the Tenby Daffodil, boasts medium-sized blossoms of perfect symmetry, with a radiant yellow perianth and trumpet. Blooming very early, heralding the arrival of spring. Flourishing in partial shade, this robust variety excels at naturalising, effortlessly spreading its sunny charm throughout your garden. Promising a delightful burst of colour year after year.
Care Guide
Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter. A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring. Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass. Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth. Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
