Description

A strong, late-flowering offering quite distinct from other ‘split corona’ varieties, Narcissus ‘Tripartite’ bears 3 shining, lemon yellow flower heads per stem. Dangling like golden bells, the crown of each bloom is flared open and frilled, laying almost flat against the perianth segments. An excellent variety to line pathways, fill containers and dot amongst lawns and borders. ‘Tripartite’ is a strong naturaliser with a vigorous habit and has earnt itself the prestigious accolade of an RHS Award of Garden Merit for its reliability and outstanding performance. This remarkable, multi-headed daffodil imparts maximum impact for your garden.

Care Guide

Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter. A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring. Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass. Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth. Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
