Ranunculus White
M6683
Description
Like a perfectly formed swirl of meringue, the blooms of Ranunculus ‘White’ are an immaculate whorl of crystal white. Distinguished by a particular abundance of petals, this variety forms a generous, multi-layered rosette with neat, button-like buds relaxing into luxurious flowers.
Crisp white blooms set against lacey, fresh green foliage are the height of elegance, bringing cool composure to borders and containers. A favourite amongst florists, these Ranunculus are celebrated for their strong stems, large flowers, and excellent vase life.
The more stems you cut for your home, the more blooms the plants will produce.
Care Guide
Best planted under glass or in a polytunnel in autumn, for overwintering and blooming the following spring. Can also be started off outdoors in spring.
Soak the spider-like tubers in water for several hours prior to planting.
Plant tubers 7-10cm deep, spaced 15cm apart into well-drained, fertile soil.
For container grown plants, a mix of good quality multi-purpose compost and grit is ideal.
Provide consistent watering, ensuring soil remains moderately damp at all times. Ranunculus are susceptible to mildew if they are allowed to dry out, or rot if they are kept too wet.
Grow in a position in full sun and feed with high-potash fertiliser weekly when buds start to appear. Pick regularly as wonderful cut flowers.
