Description

Scilla Bifolia, also known as Squill, beguiles with petite, deep blue flowers which form dainty clusters. Resilient blooms flourish in early spring, heralding the season with their vibrant presence. Perfect for naturalising, they spread gracefully across gardens, creating a delicate carpet of blue. Ideal for woodland gardens or rockeries, Scilla Bifolia thrives in both sun and shade, bringing a touch of wild, natural beauty to cultivated spaces.

Care Guide

Scilla are very effective for edging the front of a border with a pretty blue and white trim, and for planting in clusters in rockeries.

The bulbs are easy to naturalise in humus-rich, moist soil and can be left undisturbed for years.

Plant Scilla bulbs 5-10cm deep in well-drained, rich soil, spaced 7-15cm apart. Ensure the pointed end faces upward.

Dainty stems topped with delicate, star-shaped flowers appear during March and April, putting on an enchanting spring display.
