Jonquilla Narcissi Blushing Lady
N0482
Description
Demure and delicate, Jonquilla Narcissus ‘Blushing Lady’ attracts admiring attention without ostentation or gaudiness. Soft, pale blonde petals develop a glistening white halo, whilst the central, ruffled crown emerges as a muted peach tone and deepens to coral. With a bouquet of up to 3 flowers per stem, ‘Blushing Lady’ radiates an exquisite fragrance which floats enticingly on the breeze. Entrancing for container displays as well as for naturalising amongst lawns and borders, where the reed-like leaves blend imperceptibly with grass and other plants. Flowering slightly later in the season, this darling daffodil is ideal for bridging the gap into mid-spring.
Care Guide
Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter. A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring. Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass. Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth. Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
