Description

Chic, ivory-white blooms of ‘Desdemona’ glow amongst a bed of forest green foliage in mid-spring, illuminating garden borders and containers.  The alluring white flowers often feature a touch of soft, primrose yellow at their throats, adding to their charm.

This snowy satin beauty makes an excellent cut flower, adding a refined touch of spring to any floral arrangement.

Winner of a prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the RHS for reliability and looks, ‘Desdemona’ will reward you year after year as the bulbs multiply with ease.

Care Guide

Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter. A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring. Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass. Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth. Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
