Hemerocallis Bogeyman
M6407
Description
Dark blooms, almost black, cradle a golden-yellow centre which glows like a lantern at twilight. These flowers have the feel of the mysterious; quiet, powerful, fleeting. Each bloom lasts a single day, and somehow, knowing this makes them even more impossible to look away.
Care Guide
Hemerocallis thrive in a sunny, well-drained spot, woven between perennials and shrubs for added summer colour.
Plant roots with the crown just under the soil surface, 30-40cm apart in fertile soil, between November and March.
Provide regular watering, ensuring the soil stays consistently moist until established.
Little care is required for these rewarding perennials which can remain undisturbed for years in the garden.
Divide clumps every few years to re-invigorate plants.
Smaller varieties can be grown in large pots of multi-purpose compost with added manure.
