Description

Showy Narcissus ‘Precocious’ is blessed with a frilly, flared cup of rich flamingo-pink, enhanced by a velvet ivory corolla.  Dark blue-green foliage adds to Narcissus ‘Precocious’ statement looks.

This RHS award-winning Daffodil demurely bows its head as it flowers in early spring, seemingly attempting to hide some of its beauty, yet still outshines its spring companions.   Be sure to plant this Daffodil where it will be admired, in colourful clumps, or graceful swathes in long grass or borders.

Care Guide

Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter. A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring. Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass. Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth. Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
