Large Cupped Narcissi Red Devon
N0164
Description
The soft yellow petals of Narcissus ‘Red Devon’ reflex back gently as it opens, fully exposing a flaming orange cup. This large headed, colourful Daffodil retains its vibrancy, even in full sun.
‘Red Devon’ is an excellent Daffodil for naturalising and produces strong, sturdy, upright stems making it a good option for planting on exposed sites and for cutting and arranging. A lovely addition to cheerful spring pot displays.
Care Guide
Plant Daffodil and Narcissi bulbs in autumn, ideally in mid September to early October to enable roots to establish before a period of cold in winter. A position in full sun or light shade is best and good drainage is essential. Daffodils and Narcissi are long lasting and naturalise well, providing a welcoming display every spring. Ideal for borders, containers, rock gardens and open grass. Plant the bulbs 10-20cm deep and apart, depending on variety. A good rule of thumb is to plant bulbs 2-3 times their depth. Flowers appear in March and April and should be deadheaded once faded. The foliage should be left to turn yellow and fade naturally on the plant as this helps to feed the bulbs for next year’s blooms.
